Joshua Turin began practicing immigration and nationality law in 1984. He is authorized to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 9th Circuits. He is Board Certified by the Texas State Bar in Immigration and Nationality Law, 1989-1992, 2001-present. In 1989 he was voted "Litigator of the Year" by the Texas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and he served as that Chapter's Treasurer in 1990-91.

He received a B.A. degree in History from Texas A&M University (1977) with an emphasis in European history. He received an M.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin (1980) with an emphasis in political philosophy. He received a J.D. from the University of Texas (1983). At the University of Texas, he won the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He is fluent in Spanish, has a keen interest in literature, and is rated an Expert by the U.S. Chess Federation. Joshua Turin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

 

Sondra Turin was born on February 11, 1967 in Mexico City, Mexico. She is authorized to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the 5th Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas and the Supreme Court of California.

She received a B.B.A. degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University (1990). She received a J.D. from the University of Texas (1993). At the University of Texas, she was an Articles Editor for The Review of Litigation. Sondra Turin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).



STAFF

Lynn Olinger is graduate of Hofstra University School of Law in New York State and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984 and subsequently was admitted to the State Bar Texas in 1994. She was a state and federal criminal prosecutor for
11 years in New York City. Since 2001, Lynn has been exclusively practicing
immigration law, focusing her efforts on litigation for individuals with
criminal convictions.

Currently a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and
the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Court
for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Elisa Hurtado
(Paralegal) After completing her externship with Turin Turin & Olinger, Ms. Hurtado joined our offices in October of 2002. She is a graduate of the Arlington Career Institute. Elisa specializes in adjustment and naturalization cases.


Iris Medina
(Paralegal) Mrs. Medina is also a graduate from the Arlington Career Institute. Iris worked as an extern in the Fall of 2002 and then rejoined our offices in February of 2003. Iris enjoys working on litigation and prosecutorial discretion cases.

 


Esmeralda Romero
Mrs. Romero has been a member of our team snice October of 2002. She completed her training at the Arlington Career Institude. Esmeralda provides support for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

 


Ann Williamson
(Receptionist) Ann is a welcome addition to our offices.
She joins us after working for American Airlines and also working as an Executive Assistant for Kenneth Copeland Ministries each for 7 years. Ms. Williamson is responsible for scheduling appointments, greeting clients and coordinating the attorneys’ activities.


Georgette Lopez-Aguado
(Office Manager) Ms. Lopez-Aguado (Texas A&M University Class of ‘92) joined the office in June of 2001 after working for 9 years at a Community Mental Health/Mental Retardation Center in Bryan, Texas.
